Method
- Beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla in a shallow bowl (you will need something you are able to soak the bread in)
- Soak the bread in your custard mixture. I let them sit in the mixture for a couple of minutes so they don't end up dry in the middle.
- In a skillet or pan melt butter to cover the bottom (you are basically going for a delicious nonstick surface of your pan).
- Let the soaked bread brown for a few minutes on each side.
- Serve with sliced strawberries and whip cream!
