Ever since I was little I have loved reading. I can remember spending entire school vacations with stacks of books. It was an escape and a chance to travel to distant lands in the world my imagination created. I credit my love of reading for my need for perfection throughout school into college. I loved learning and I know it comes from reading.

I’ve read to my children since before they were born and we stress a love of reading in our class. I love watching kids willingly pick up a book and start reading. I know that it will help them throughout their school age. Reading is so important for children and many children fall in love with reading in the library (I know I did). Our local library is under construction and I know that when it eventually is finished it will be an amazing place for children and book lovers of all ages. That’s why we are nominating the “WestSide Story” campaign for a 2000$ grant from Huggies!
