No matter how long you plan an event you just can’t control Mother Nature. It’s always smart to have a backup plan when you’re planning an outdoor activity. Usually we luck out with the weather but sometimes it’s a washout. However, sometimes the back-up plan can be even better than the original!

We were luck enough to be selected to host a Disney Kids Preschool Playdate this year! As huge Disney fans, any excuse to have a Disney event is perfect for us! Plus getting my littles and their friends together is always fun. We had planned a fun outdoor party now that winter has finally left New England but Mother Nature had other plans. You know what they say about April Showers… Here’s hoping we have a ton of flowers soon.

Making Sorcerer Hats!

The most important thing about planning any party with small children is having activities planned. If they get bored it can go south fast! Thankfully, we had a ton of Disney Magic to keep them going. We played “Pin the Nose on Mickey” and had a blast with crafts including decorating Mickey Sorcerer hats. We even had our own “Hot Dog” Dance Party!!

Snacks are always a must when having any kind of party! We love having kid friendly snacks available and you can’t go wrong with PopSecret popcorn! We mixed the popcorn in with a few other snacks and made our own fun snack mix for the party.

Our Hidden Mickey Hunt was a little smaller inside but it was still tons of fun. The kids had a blast running around looking for Mickey. There were prizes for everyone and extra stickers for the winners who found the most! Everyone got to take home some great party goodies including Social Media Snapshots from HP. These little snapshots are so much fun. You download the app and you can print adorable 4X5 sticky prints of your favorite photos! We got some great shots at the party for everyone to print out at home.

We had so much fun at our Preschool Playdate even with all the rain! All it takes is a little Pixie Dust to turn the gloomiest day magical! We can’t wait until our next party!!!
