Expecting During this Crazy Time?

Expecting at any point during life is going to be tricky. You’ll have all of these worries going through your mind, and it can often feel overwhelming to be an expecting mother. All of a sudden the way that people treat you changes. You’re known as the pregnant woman, and everything you used to do in your daily life begins to change, right from the very beginning. From no drinking or smoking, or how socially limited you’ll feel at around the six-month bump mark. You won’t want to get off the sofa because your back hurts. You won’t want to get out of bed because the baby growing inside of you has zapped every single ounce of energy that you have. So if this is the reality you’re living through now, all whilst everything else is going on in the world, you might have a few worries on your mind. So, we’re going to provide you with a post filled with information about what to do if you’re expecting during this crazy time.

Keep Yourself & Your Baby Safe

This is the number one main rule. You need to make sure that you’re doing everything you can to keep yourself and your baby safe. This is obviously the most important rule whether there was a pandemic going on or not, but we think it’s important to recognize that as a pregnant woman you should be self-isolating. The births of seven mothers in Wuhan who had coronavirus were recorded and none of the babies were born with the virus. However, it’s not necessarily the baby to worry about, it’s you and your health. If you were to need hospital intervention it could impact the health and development of your baby. However, if you stay inside, wash your hands, and make sure that you’re eating a good diet to keep your immune system high, you’ll keep yourself and your baby safe.

 Understand The Facts

It’s important to understand the facts around what’s going on, and don’t be swayed with fake news. There is so much circulating at the minute about what you can and can’t do, and some people are tending to stick to the information they see on social media rather than what the government is providing. Always keep yourself up to date with the facts and how to keep yourself safe. The general facts are babies are generally going to be fine, but mothers are an at risk group who should be protected.

Enjoy Your Pregnancy

If you can stick to the rules that have been lined out for you, all you have to do is keep safe and enjoy your pregnancy. So many women are surprised at how much they miss being pregnant when they finally give birth. So, as long as you can find ways to make sure that you’re managing all the side effects of pregnancy, such as the swollen ankles and backache, you should just be able to sit back and relax and marvel at what your body is going through.
