3 Vacation Trends in 2021

After a year of a lot of staying at home, canceled travel plans, and even travel bans, we are ready to explore in 2021. With the rollout of vaccines and social distancing travel options around the world, most are planning to safely get back out on the road and travel again. What vacation trends are shaping our return to travel? Read the top three trends in travel for this year.

Go Big or Go Home

This year is the year to go big on your vacation plans. Most are not planning multiple trips, but just one dream vacation. After one year of canceled trips and/or postponed travels, the trend is to spend a bit more time as well as money for a getaway worth writing home about. A popular option is an all-inclusive vacation where everything is taken care of and at your fingertips. A great Caribbean option for an all-inclusive is Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club.

Road Trip

Last year’s trend of the return to the road trip continues in 2021. Although you can fly relatively safely with the airlines’ rules and procedures, some don’t feel comfortable with air travel just yet. So, the best option for these travelers is to drive. If you don’t have a car, you can rent. In either case, you and your family or friends are in your own adventure bubble. You can choose to stay close to home and visit National and State Parks or do the famous Route 66. Be prepared while on your road trip with a good GPS, an old school map, and a roadside assistance plan.

Return to Your Favorite

After such a roller-coaster year, another travel trend is to return to favorite childhood destinations.  With a renewed appreciation for the ability to travel, individuals want to share special places with their loved ones. For example, parents are showing their children places they were taken to by their parents. Some popular destinations on this list include San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, and Orlando. Additionally, to piggyback on this trend, there will be a lot of multi-generational trips with grandchildren, grandparents, and parents.

Regardless of your travel style and/or budget, you can find a way to explore in 2021. It is part of our nature, as human beings, to want to discover new places, learn new things, and try new experiences. Travel is a way to continually educate yourself as well as your family. In 2021, we can all embrace traveling again in a safe manner. Be prepared and do your research. It is essential to know the social distancing guidelines and local ordinances of your chosen destination and accommodation.

Whether you decide to go big with a dream vacation in an all-inclusive resort, return to a childhood favorite, or do an epic road trip in 2021, it will be worth it. Don’t pass up the opportunity to create your own travel memories in 2021. Remember that you only live once. So, make it count.
