WordWorld: Merry Christmas DVD Available November 3, 2015
We love the holidays and adding a bit of Christmas to everything we do. The kids love watching holiday and Christmas DVDs during this festive season but I want them to continue their learning through the fun! We love PBS and all of their educational programming and were very excited when they released a line of new DVDs just for this special time of year.
PBS KIDS, the number one educational media brand for kids, offers all children the opportunity to explore new ideas and new worlds through television, digital platforms and community-based programs. PBS Distribution is releasing new holiday themed DVDs on November 3, 2015, including WordWorld: Merry Christmas.
WordWorld: Merry Christmas features five stories, including “A Christmas Present for Dog” and “The Christmas Star.” In “A Christmas Present for Dog,” the WordFriends write letters to Santa so he knows what to bring
them. Dog asks for a ball and Bear asks for a doll. When all the letters for Dog’s present don’t make it down the chimney, all he has is B-A-L. Filled with the Christmas spirit, Bear makes a sacrifice to ensure Dog’s Christmas will be merry!
My Thoughts
We are huge PBS fans in this house. It’s one of the few things I’ve always let my children and class watch. I know I can trust their programming and my kiddos are learning something while they are having a blast. I love WordWorld and the way it introduces spelling and reading to children. My kiddos loved this Christmas version of WordWorld. They love the way you can mix up words and make new words. Of course we loved Dog and his holiday mix up. This was a great DVD and would make an awesome gift for any preschoolers on your list.
