As every parent knows, taking the kids away on vacation during peak seasons can be incredibly expensive. If you can snag yourself a trip away outside of the peak seasons, you could save a small fortune – some holiday firms will offer prices up to half as they would in more popular times.
The trouble is, of course, that the weather comes into play, and if you want to enjoy some sun and heat on your break away, you need to be careful about where you choose. A bargain-basement vacation package could end up being a complete washout if you decide to go at the wrong time of year. With this in mind, here are some weatherproof vacation destinations for bargain hunting moms – read on to find out more!
The weather in Hawaii is pretty consistent all year round. It rarely drops below 70 degrees, and it is also uncommon for temperatures to go above 90. There are rainy seasons, of course, and you need to keep yourself aware of the potential of hurricanes, but ultimately, your welcoming ‘Aloha!’ will be joined by pleasant humidity, lovely warmth, and beautiful sunshine and beaches whatever time of year you visit.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica is an up-and-coming destination that is attracting enormous amounts of tourists every year. And there’s a good reason why – you just need an answer to the question: ‘What is the weather like in Costa Rica?’ In short, because of its proximity to the equator, the weather is typically lovely all year-around. There are rainy seasons, of course, but Costa Rica also has its own micro-climates, and the summers run from November all the way through to April/May. But even through the Costa Rican winters, although there is rain, it typically does so overnight, other than during September and October. And it’s also important to point out that many travelers put this winter period down as the most beautiful time of year to visit the country.
Malaga
Malaga is on the southern coast of Spain and has an incredible climate. Even during its ‘cold’ period, you can enjoy temperature highs of over 60 degrees. And even if the weather does suffer a little dip, you can spend your time visiting the many historical sites, museums, and art galleries that are dotted around this beautiful and old city.
San Diego
Of course, you don’t have to leave the country to experience incredible weather all year round. And if you can’t afford a flight abroad, why not try a visit to the east coast and head to the incredible city of San Diego? Many travelers claim that San Diego has the most perfect weather possible, and the temperatures are pretty consistent. You can expect summer temperatures to reach somewhere between 70-80 degrees, and in the winter it only dips to somewhere between 65-70. And if you and your family love surfing, there is no better place to visit, regardless of the time of year.
