We just got hammered with another large snow storm here in the Northeast and I for one am done with winter. I’m thinking Spring and some fun new family music to break in the new season!! Here are a couple great artists with new music headed our way this month!!

Siama

African American artist Siama, who is originally from the Congo and now lives in Minneapolis, will release his first children’s album “Land of the Yangalele,” in March as well. These exuberant songs are very catchy – you’ll be dancing and curious about the origins of these songs. The album liner notes offer excellent teaching tools as they introduce children to Congolese culture, the Kikongo language, and African geography. The recording was inspired by popular children’s concerts in the Twin Cities with “Papa Siama” and “Auntie Dallas,” and it has the immediacy of a family sing-along.
