Summer Fun Bug Free with Thermacell

We received the following product to facilitate an honest review. All opinions are our own.

Summer is a great time to be outside. The weather is nice and everything about summer just calls you to spend as much time outside as possible (especially in New England where you know the long, cold winter will be coming). The one downfall….bugs. Mosquitoes and other biting insects love to ruin your good time outside with their annoying search for food…aka you!

Mosquito bites aren’t just annoying, they can pose health risks. From West Nile Virus to Zika Virus mosquito bites aren’t as innocent as they were when we were younger. We have bug spray on all the time outside and burn candles to try and keep the bugs at bay. Thankfully, we were given a new lantern from Thermacell to try out this summer.

The lantern is a great way to keep biting insects at bay. It provides a bug free zone (about 15 feet) around the lantern so your family is free to enjoy time outside without worrying about the effects of biting insects. It is perfect for camping, picnics and anytime you’re outside where there are biting insects. Our favorite place to use ours is around our pool. When you get out of the pool at night you’re like a walking buffet. You obviously can’t wear bug repellent in the water so we usually hope for the best while we towel off. This lantern gives us great zone to get out of the pool and not worry about getting bit.
