If you are anything like me you take a ton of pics of your family. With the smart devices available today, it’s so easy to take pictures to immortalize anything you do. Well, what are you doing with these memories? Social media of course but what else?
I’m so guilty of taking pictures only for them to stay lost in my phone or social media forever. Someday we may not have Facebook or Instagram (say it isn’t so!). Do you have physical memories somewhere? Photo albums? I didn’t. Then after my grandmother passed I realized just how important it is to have these physical memories. I made it a mission to print out pictures for albums, make photo books and have tangible memories.
There are lots of sites online to print pictures from home and create albums. Some of them range from easy to really complex. I prefer easy so I can get more done. If you’re in a pinch you can always run to your local department store or pharmacy. Most have the ability to upload right from your phone!
I love having prints but for those really special prints, wall art is a must. I know, I know. You’re going to tell me how expensive turning your prints into wall art can be. You aren’t wrong but with some simple research, you can totally have amazing prints for your home.
I’m all about the canvas print right now and for large canvas I love Canvas on The Cheap. I ordered a fantastic print of some photos I had taken of my kids. It came out perfect and the process was easy and fast. I took so many great beach photos this year and I can’t wait to turn them into art for my home.
No matter what you end up choosing to do with your photos do something. Don’t leave them to sit on your phone or camera. If you lose it or the technology crashes you could lose those special memories forever!
