Quincy to host President’s Day Winter Fest at Hancock/Adams Green
A free, fun-filled event for the whole family during February school vacation
WHAT:Not sure what to do with the kids this February vacation and looking to maximize your budget? Head over to the city of Quincy on Monday, February 20th for some free fun for the whole family at the inaugural President’s Day Winter Festival. The festival will include free, indoor and outdoor entertainment and activities including a Massachusetts National Guard Quintet, teen pop group 3D, a 35-foot snow slide for kids, fire breathing and stilt walking, a video gaming truck, a marionette show, a green screen photo booth, tours of the historic Old City Hall and Church of the Presidents led by costumed re-enactors and more.
Mayor Thomas P. Koch wants to shine a light on the Hancock Adams Green by creating an atmosphere of community.
“Once the green is completed, I plan on designating it as a place for family-friendly events like this one,” said Mayor Koch. “With President’s Day kicking off February school vacation this year, what better time to bring everyone together for a celebration – one that I hope we can expand on and turn into a very special, annual tradition for our community.”

WHO:The 2017 Presidents Day Winter Festival is being produced by the City of Quincy, in conjunction with JM Productions. It is in partnership between the City of Quincy and the city’s official tourism arm, Discover Quincy. Support has also been provided by The United First Parish Church (Church of the Presidents) & the Adams National Park.
