Everyone knows I am a huge fan of Disney. I’ve been to Disney World more times than I care to admit (most as an adult). My kiddos have never been but we are surprising them with their first trip this May! I can’t even contain how excited I am to watch them experience the most magical place on Earth. We were lucky enough to be chosen to host a Disney World Playdate thanks to Mom Select and got to bring some of that excitement here!
In our house when you say Disney, princesses and pirates usually follow. I thought it would be a perfect theme to our playdate!Lovebug is obsessed with Sofia the First and Monster has always loved Captain Jake. I wanted to incorporate this into our fun. The kids got dressed in their favorite Princess outfits or as a pirate for the party(plus some capes because why not!). They had so much fun running around using their imagination that we almost didn’t have time for games! We set up different park stations with some of the awesome activities included in our party kit!
We played bingo with cereal markers (a big hit especially when they got to eat the pieces!). Disney matching was also a huge hit with the older preschoolers. They did a great job of doing it on their own too. We set up an animal safari and it immediately turned into a game of Lion Guard. I love watching their imaginations find new ways to interact with things. It wasn’t how I intended them to use the station but their imaginations made it their own….even better! We played “Pin The Mouth on Mickey” and laughed hysterically as the mouths were put everywhere but where they should have been! It was a perfect morning full of fun memories.
As we wrapped up the party we read an adorable book, My Very Very Smelly Breath. This adorable scratch-and-sniff book was so much fun and reminded the kids about the importance of brushing! They loved scratching each of the special pages and smelling different things. It was a fun way to get them involved in a story and calm them down a bit before sending them on their way!
The kids each got to take home their very own bags of goodies as a reminder of all the fun they had at the play date! These adorable (and reusable) backpacks were filled with temporary tattoos, posters, crowns and a map of Disney World! The kids loved using the maps as treasure maps for their adventures. My kiddos will be taking them on our magical vacation very soon…they just don’t know it yet!

I am sure the kids had a lot of fun! Playing pretend super-hero has always been my favorite game when I was a child. I love the story book reading time. That was a great idea!
Looks you have a great time! Thanks for the idea. Glad you shared it!
What a great play date! It looks like they had a great time! Disney is so much fun, and just perfect as a theme for play dates.
What a fun playdate. This is so nice to attend to as all the kiddos are in their best costumes!
What a fun way to Disney up a home! It sounds like all the activities were a blast.
I have never gotten to go there before but this is a great way to experience it a bit at home for those days when a vacation isn’t possible!
Playdates are certainly more fun with the kids if they dress up as a princess or a pirate! And Disney costumes do it best too!
This is a brilliant idea! Even for kids who have been to Disney and miss it – thats how my little sister and I were when we would return from Disney so this is perfect!
Oh I miss those scratch and sniff books!!! I’m sure thosse lovable kiddos would be very excited when they find out they’re going to Disneyland.
Great ideas you have here. Thanks for sharing.
