National Guacamole Day!!?? How did I not know this day existed?? Well, it does and it’s September 16th. I met my husband in Tucson, Arizona and being so close to Mexico we spent a long time with the food and culture. My husband spent a lot of his life there and even though we’ve relocated to New England, we still love all things about the Southwest and Mexico! Guacamole included.
For National Guacamole Day, we were given a chance to review Chips and Salsa from the Brooklyn based band, Rolie Polie Guacamole. To say the kids like this album is an understatement. It is by far on of their all time favorites. We have listened to it several times a day for the last week. I know all the words and I still love it. Monster is a huge fan of the song The Mantis and Lovebug is obsessed with the title track Rolie Polie Guacamole. I happen to love all of them but Bird Bellyful is my favorite for dancing!

How cute! We love guacamole – I love that they make fun songs for the kids to sing and dance to!!
I love guacamole! A friend once told another friend if she had to have a last meal it would be my guacamole! I’m always amazed at how the recipes for this great condiment vary. Mine has a tiny bit of chilli in it. And no onion or cumin. But hey, they’ve all got avocados so what more do you need?
