Admit it. If you’re a parent you’ve all had those days where your kiddo’s behavior is less than fantastic. Some of us have those days more often than others. I have a 3.5 year old boy. Enough said right. Well, we’ve been looking into all types of options to wrangle in his ummm “feisty” side.
We’ve tried charts before, with little success, but I’m willing to give anything a shot here. The chart itself is fantastic. It’s colorful and engaging. The smiley face stickers are perfect and send the right message. I especially like the stickers you can write in yourself. It made it more personal for my little man.
I’m not going to say it magically made my son turn into a little prince or fixed all of his toddler behavior problems. Again, he’s three and a half. It did give him a positive visual to focus on. The chart allowed him to see the positive rewards instead of just what he was loosing. We let him put the stickers on the chart and he loves that. It gives him a little more control in his very structured world.
Now I really wanted to get a good picture of my son using his chart…..but we were having a moment over here.
