Kids are messy. It’s in their DNA. They are tiny dirt magnets that attract any and all forms of mess. They can’t help it, it is just how they are. Making messes and play in the dirt is an amazing learning tool. It teaches kids to investigate and explore their surroundings. Countless studies have shown the benefits of letting your children explore the outside and investigate (also known as get really dirty). While it’s great for their developing minds, it’s not so great for their wardrobe. Have no fear… Purex is hear to save your kid’s clothes!
Now I let my kiddos and my class spend a morning investigating the dirt. It was an amazing time and an amazing mess. You would think that I would have thrown those muddy clothes right in the wash…..well no. I work 55+ hours a week and sometimes those types of things get forgotten. What better way to try out the stain fighting power of a new detergent than on muddy clothes that have been sitting for a week??
Honestly, I had already given up on these clothes before I started the laundry so I was alright with having a set of “play” clothes. I’ve always poured our detergent right on the tough stains and let them sit for a few minutes. I tried this with the new Purex Plus Clorox 2. It said it was safe for colors so I gave it a shot. Well after one wash I am happy to report that the clothes look awesome. The mud is gone. No stains…even after sitting for a full week. Check out the close up of the muddy pants!
