As an educator it’s important to help foster a love for learning at an early age. Teaching kids that learning is fun helps them in their life long educational journey. No one wants to continually do things that are boring or hard, especially small children. We love to incorporate learning whenever we are having fun. I think of it like sneaking in vegetables in to a food your child already loves. Finding toys that are both fun and educational makes this task even easier.

The Learning Journey International is an award winning company specializing in educational toys for kids. Their line of amazing toys keeps kids learning as they are having a great time playing! They have educational toys for infants through school age children (it’s never to early to start learning!). We got to try out a couple of the their preschool aged options and we had a blast!

Telly the Teaching Time Clock is a fantastic tool for teaching kids to tell time. I love the digital and analog clock learning. There are two modes for Telly, teaching and quiz mode. The first mode allows children to explore with the hands of the clock while it shows them the matching digital time. When they are ready Telly will quiz them on the time! It’s also a working clock and a night light. We had a blast playing with it and my daughter is now using the nightlight feature in her room!

We a huge fans of puzzles in my house and in my classroom. Find it! Dinosaurs is a fantastic 50 piece puzzle that doubles as a game (another great product with more than one feature). Once the puzzle is put together you can play and object or word recognition game. It’s perfect for preschoolers learning how to identify words or even match pictures. The Learning Journey International has puzzles for every ability and a great selection of puzzles that have double use!

What a timely read. I am currently looking for educational toys for my grandson. He has already memorized his shapes and colors puzzle blocks. I need new ones to keep him excited about learning. Thanks for the suggestions!

I will get these for my niece whose birthday is coming up in June. I tend to spoil my nephews and nieces with toys – educational ones only. I like the encourage them to keep on learning!
