Josh & The Jamtones Rocksteady

Josh and the Jamtones

It’s summer and we’re rocking out over here. We’re blasting the music when we’re playing outside and having rocking dance parties when we’re stuck inside. We love to keep the kids active even when we can’t be outside playing and crazy dance parties are a great way to do it. Music and a love of music is so important in children’s development and we love incorporating it in our day. I grew up in a loud, musical family and I’m passing the tradition along to Monster and Lovebug. Music is part of everything we do.

I’m always excited when I can share amazing local talent with my family and my readers. Josh & The Jamtones is an amazing group out of Boston. Their new release Rocksteady is amazing. It’s the perfect music for dancing (which we do a ton of). It’s got a great Ska/reggae sound to it and features some amazing guests like one of our favorites, Father Goose. While they’ve opened for huge name bands like the Wiggles, their music stands on it’s own! This is one of my favorites to listen to with the kiddos.

Check out the new single for their single Tailfeather off their new album.

This song is a fantastic representation of the infectious sound of Josh & The Jamtones. You can’t listen to it without wanting to get up and dance! Their new album is available in stores on August 21 but you can win it here now! Enter below to win your own fantastic album to rock out to this summer. It’s always good to hear about up-and-coming artists like this. I like to think that I have heard of them before they got really famous. Thanks for telling about them. I will check out their music.

I adore songs like this that make you want to get up and dance, and even better discovering them from a local artist – tho not local to me.

I think it’s great to share music with the kids. They benefit greatly from that exposure, I feel. Plus, it’s oodles of fun.

Ska is my husband’s favorite kind of music so I’m going to need to try this out. I bet it would be a funny dance party.
