Gorton’s Smart and Crunchy Review and Giveaway

I can honestly say I haven’t really included fish in my diet as much as I should. We didn’t eat it very much growing up so I just never plan for it. Monster and Lovebug the most adventurous eaters either so sometimes I play it safe and feed them what I know they’ll eat. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the new Smart and Crunchy line from Gorton’s.

This new line takes the traditional fish stick to a whole new level. When I think fish stick I used to think school lunches. These are panko breaded, 100% wild caught (a huge deal if you’ve ever looked into the fish industry) Alaskan Pollock. They also have half the fat of traditional fish sticks because they are never fried! The panko breadcrumbs give the fish sticks a fantastic texture. Super crunchy on the outside with the perfect texture on the inside. I really loved them. Now for the kiddo test.

I served them up with a side of tartar sauce (we love dipping) and the kiddos went crazy for them. I can honestly say I was shocked. I’m glad I found another lean protein that they really enjoyed eating. They’re getting the awesome nutrients (and no artificial colors or flavors) from seafood in a form that they love eating.
