While we love Family Game time, sometimes my Monster needs a game he cam play all by himself. Educational games are perfect for letting your kiddos have fun and learn something at the same time. Games are a big part of my holiday shopping this year. We are trying to spend more time together as a family away from screens and board games are perfect for this.
Balance Beans is a logic game and math game all in one. Set up the Red Beans according to the Challenge Card. Then carefully place the colorful Beans on the Seesaw to keep it from teetering. When you balance the Seesaw, you are actually balancing an equation! As the challenges get harder, you’ll rely less on trial and error – and more on math and reasoning skills. This bean-filled logic game is a fun way to introduce young learners to elementary algebra.
Monster LOVES this game. He can play by himself, which I love, and he’s working on critical thinking and patience along with math skills. Patience is never a skill that six year olds have an abundance of so anything we can do to help develop this skill is a win in my book. With 40 different games to play it is fun for the whole family. You can start out easy and increase the challenge as the player masters the game. Perfect for families with multi-aged children.
