My preschool class is obsessed with space. So much so that they did a play about it. They don’t just know the traditional facts but ones most adults don’t know. My son can name all the planets, dwarf planets and large minor planets in our solar system. It’s crazy how much knowledge children retain when they are really interested in a subject. As educators, it’s our job to foster this love of learning and run with their enthusiasm.
With their love of space, it only seamed natural that we would need a telescope to add another aspect of their learning. The GeoSafari® Jr. My First Telescope couldn’t have been easier to set up. It went together with a few simple steps and we were ready to explore. Obviously we couldn’t do much night observing with my class but luckily the moon was out during class. They all got a chance to take a look at the moon and they loved it!
The eye piece is perfect for little faces. It is soft and flexible so they actually enjoy looking into it. This telescope is made for tabletop use but when you’re a little kid you have no problem getting dirty. In fact, it made it even more fun.
Features of the GeoSafari® Jr. My First Telescope:
- Focus-free, easy-setup telescope designed specifically for young scientists
- 10x Magnification with wide field of vision, built-in diagonal mirror, and lens cap
- Two large eyepieces with comfy goggle and nose cut-out guide for perfect eye placement
- Adjustable tripod for tabletop viewing (collapsible for easy storage)
- Multilingual instructional guide showcasing the phases of the moon
- 10x Magnification with wide field of vision, built-in diagonal mirror, and lens cap
This is a fantastic gift this holiday season. Help foster a love of learning with this adorable telescope made perfectly for the preschooler in your life. Happy Learning!
