Judgey Pants.

If you have facebook you’ve seen the post going around about putting down your technology and actually spending time with your kids. While this is all well and good (we are all way to connected) there is a response going around that brings this whole thing into perspective. Why we are we judging each other??

As moms we have a tough enough job trying to raise our kids in a society full of easy ways to go terribly wrong. We are bombarded with all types of media on how what we are doing is wrong at that moment. Vaccinate don’t vaccinate, organic or regular, tv or no tv, formula or breast milk. It seams that no matter what you choose there is something saying you made the wrong choice. It’s an anxiety attack waiting to happen. So then as moms why are we constantly judging the only other people in the world that understand how hard your job really is? We all do it. I’m just as guilty as the next mom. However, recently I could tell I was being judged and I hated that feeling. Therefore I’m going to do my best (because honestly no one is perfect) to not make anyone else have to feel that way.

We’ll never know the whole life story of that mom you see playing on her phone instead of devoting 110% of her attention to her child at the park. Maybe she’s waiting to hear important news. Maybe that mom buying the canned veggies is trying to make ends meet and can’t afford organic. Maybe the mom yelling at the top of her lungs has finally reached her breaking point (we’ve all been there). We should spend more time supporting each other and less time looking down on one another. Remember there is someone out there that doesn’t agree with all your choices.
