In partnership with NPT, National Geographic Kids announced their newest children’s book just in time for the Centennial of the National Park Service. Written by Ilona Holland, a member of NPT’s Leadership Council, Buddy Bison’s Yellowstone Adventure, is an adorable book for early readers where NPT’s woolly mascot Buddy Bison comes to life!
Synopsis: Elena’s twin brother, Christopher wanders off while their aunt, Ranger Rosa, takes an emergency call. That’s when pint-sized Buddy Bison comes to life to save the day and help Elena reunite with her brother. The book shows the beauty of Yellowstone National Park through amazing photos alongside captivating illustrations, and is full of interesting fun facts.
Our Thoughts: We are huge fans of Buddy Bison in this house. He goes on all of our long car adventures with us. He’s traveled all over the Northeast with our family and my kiddos can’t get enough. The LOVED that he has his very own story now. It’s a great story of Buddy’s adventure to Yellowstone. They loved that Buddy came to life to save the day. I think that it’s every child’s dream to have a beloved stuffed toy come to life and they got to hear about it in this story. I loved that the illustrations were set against actual photos of Yellowstone National Park.
Buddy Bison’s Yellowstone Adventure will be available wherever books are sold on February 2nd or you can pre-order yours today!
